Meesho is an open source e-commerce platform based in India. It allows users from India and abroad to open online shops through various mobile applications including Android, iPhones and Blackberry. The platform provides a unique, user friendly and easy to use interface for creating online stores. Meesho was developed by IIT Delhi students who also named it as an alternative to E-commerce. It allows people and small businesses to launch their online shops via various social media channels including Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram and others. However, its free to download the Android version which is already preloaded with the Android Market application.
I joined Meesho initially to know more about this application before trying it out on my smartphone. Initially, I thought it was quite similar to eBay when searching for online business category apps but I got really good rating points for its ease of usage and ability to access its mobile version from any place i.e. PC, laptop and other connected gadgets. Apart from that, I have seen other online stores like Zixxie, Olx and Shopzilla use the same application for their mobile websites and reselling.
Apart from that, I love the latest news from my favorite Indian TV channel i.e. Hindi news on Meesho on the social networking site and I regularly check out different things in the news from my PC at home. In my opinion, Meesho has been successful because of its wide coverage over various platforms and its simple and user-friendly website and mobile platform for mobile apps. I can easily list, search and browse all items from one platform. Although, the platform is free to download but if you want to get profit from this app, you have to purchase the paid version of Meesho.
